Falcon Services was conceived to address a need that no one else wanted to do do. We figured if no one else wanted to do it, we would do it ourselves and develop a new business in the process. We had already made a commitment to community service with an emphasis on safety (See http://safercommunities.blogspot.com/).
We created a business model based on working together with government officials, business and church leaders, and volunteer associations to protect people and property. To offset the financial burden associated with this project, we began a search for energy saving products and services that could reduce utility cost. In this process, we found that significant cost savings could be developed through more efficient maintenance and utilization of high efficiency products relating to air conditioning and lighting.
Our study revealed that we could not only offset the cost of our alarm detection and notification systems, but we could actually pay for these services and enjoy ADDITIONAL utility savings as well! Once the technology was developed, it was simply a matter of establishing a relationship with municipalities or user groups that could provide a rapid response to an emergency and then finalizing the products and services to meet our objective. The energy saving product selected to help purchasers of our HelpAlert Systems is the Sky-Lite Plus high efficiency lighting system. In essence, this is a replacement fluorescent light bulb that can provide twice the light with half the number of bulbs normally used in a typical fixture. In addition, replacement cost and associated labor can be significantly reduced since these bulbs are covered by a five year warranty! So the question is, what does all this have to do with Filter-Bulb Guys? You may recall that we offer fluorescent light installation and maintenance services for the municipalities, churches, and business's that we serve. The problem is that we didn't have dedicated people on staff to perform these functions. It didn't make sense to hire people for occasional work, so we decided it would be best to develop a service that would allow us to grow a business that would stand on it's own AND support the needs of our primary activities. We didn't need sales reps, secretaries, engineers, or accountants - we needed people that were accustomed to work!
Our Filter-Bulb Guys come primarily from the labor trades, like carpenters, handymen, installers, painters, and roofers. They won't be coming to see you in business suits, Gucci loafers, or the latest in fashions. They will be wearing work clothes, because that is what they do. They do the work you don't want to do, have time to do, or efficiently do. For example, we don't know anyone who regularly replaces their air conditioner filters. We should! It doesn't cost much but it can make our lives more comfortable and allergen free while extending the life of our air conditioning system and SAVE US MONEY ON OUR UTILITIES!
